Over at Dr. Vino a poll asking readers to vote on the most overused word or phrase of the past year is up. Sideways (my vote, even though I enjoyed the movie) is clearly in the lead, but add your two cents as well.

I’m off to a Christmas party over at Jordan Winery this afternoon with Candace. Should be a great time. Since John took over as CEO earlier this year Jordan has been in the news quite a bit, and they’ve received rave reviews from the Wall Street Journal among others. Not that it will help sales any, since they sell out every year. But with such a well known and acclaimed brand it is important to periodically remind consumers of why you are so well regarded in the first place. Just another reminder to me that brand management is vitally important for everyone in the wine industry.
