If you are in the Sonoma/Napa area, here are a couple upcoming wine events that are sure to be a great time.
- Pinot Noirs From Around the World July 24, 6:30pm
Farmhouse Wine Director/ Sommelier Geoff Kruth will host and moderate the evening’s four-course dinner paired with pinot noirs from around the world prepared by Executive Chef Steve Litke. The first flight will include wines from Italy and Germany, followed by a flight of classic French pinot’s from Alsace, Burgundy, and the Loire Valley. The dinner will conclude with New World wines from California, Oregon, and New Zealand.
Only $95 $125 bucks (they raised the price on us!), and Farmhouse Inn is some of the best food you’ll find anywhere. Four courses, and at least 8 pinots! You had better believe if we didn’t have a child on the way that we’d be there in a heartbeat. Zagat recently rated Farmhouse Inn the best restaurant in Sonoma County giving it a 28 out of 30. Farmhouse and French Laundry are the only two in the Wine Country to receive such high scores.
- Wines of the Loire Valley Wine Class July 25, 6:00pm
Come join us for a discovery of the wines of the Loire Valley with the guidance of a Certified Wine Educator. The wines will be paired with a selection of appetizers specially prepared by Fred Langley.
Cost includes wine samples, food, and educational materials.
This one is perfect for anyone participating in Wine Blogging Wednesday over at Vinography where the theme for this month is Whites of the Loire Valley. Cost is $55/person ($45 for industry types).
Have a great weekend!
