Really exciting news today from Apple. They announced that the iPhone is now supporting Bluetooth communication with wireless devices. What this means for Juice is pretty huge.

I’ll be able to hook up the iPhone to a Bluetooth barcode reader and scan barrels (or fermenters etc) in the cellar, have it pull up the barrel record, input data (like additions or measurements) and sync it back into Juice for reporting and storage.

This a HUGE feature and something I’ve been pining for since I started development. Thanks to Apple, my cellar management dreams are coming true. And it all fits right in my pocket.
