Just in time for WBC 09!
Yesterday I launched a project of mine that aims to bring together citizen reviewers seeking wine samples for review and wineries looking to target them. Help a Winery Out.
Head on over to helpawinery.com to sign up or just to learn more about it. For those familiar with Help A Reporter Out, think HARO for wine.
The service is free for citizen reviewers and for wineries (though the winery page is still under development) and always will be.
I hope to announce a partner soon and would appreciate any fellow bloggers out there who feel this is a valuable tool to help me spread the word.
Thanks!
Josh
[...] app Juice. Josh has now developed a second application, this time it’s hosted and called Help a Winery Out, similar to the established Help A Reporter Out, but for wine. So, if you’re a citizen wine [...]

very interesting to see this kind of effort and approach. I’ll be watching for the winery page to go up. Best of luck, and don’t be shy to ask for help. Maybe an informal winery user group that could provide insights and feedback (a good excuse to gather for lunch and some tasting of your new Pinots). You might tie in the newly revived Academy of Wine Communicators.
Boy, are you brave! Seems like a great idea, but I’d be a little careful. The complexities of shipping samples (legally) can be daunting. You might also find the demand so great that it just isn’t economically feasible to send out all that free wine. Anyway, best of luck!

Kim, sent you an email.
Suffice it to say – I’m not sending out any samples! I’m not crazy
Great idea Josh. Be great to be part of it
